Yes, concentration! That’s something I am lacking at the moment. It’s a case of only being able to understand what it’s like when one is in that exact situation. Now I completely understand my lack of ability to concentrate, and I accept that there is nothing I can do about it. The only thing I can say is this: Pregnant women, I have complete respect and sympathy with regards to the baby brain syndrome. And this explains the slow knitting speed that I have at the moment.
Anyway, I’ve managed to complete the shaping for the front piece of the blouse. Ta daaaaa….
At some point while I was all content and knitting along yesterday, I must have forgotten to turn my counter, which resulted in it giving me a figure that’s lower than the row number that I was actually at. I realised this error when I picked up the blouse this morning with a fresh mind. I tried counting the rows to figure out how far behind the counter was at…and the more I counted, the more confused and baffled I became, and the more things didn’t make sense to me. It was something SO simple, yet baby brain got in my way. I ended up frogging 7 rows to where I made an increase and reset the counter from there. Turned out the counter was only one row behind. *roll eyes* You win this one frog….you win.
Now that the body of the blouse is shaped, the cable and lace pattern can commence. Hurray!! This means it won’t be long now till I can start shaping the armholes, and when I get there, it means the front piece is almost finished. Now I only wish for relatively good concentration when I’m working on the blouse, and less tiredness…That said, it’s time for me to call it a night and go have my rest. I wish all of you had a lovely Tuesday, or will have a lovely Tuesday =)
